    Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace.

    We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets.

    Be responsible for the tacking aerospace tubes to machined details. The parts will then go to orbital welding. 1st Shift TIG tacker/Orbital welder will be certified to AWS D17.1 Aerospace Specification, and current internal procedures as required.

    This candidate needs to be detail oriented and productive as they will set the pace for production of orbital welding.

    Set-up and layout jobs using Operation Sheets and fixtures following welding procedures to TIG tack in all positions.


    • Inspects, maintains, logs preventative maintenance on equipment needed for welding and fabricating.
    • Solvent cleaning, polishing to prepare welding joints for welding.
    • Tack welding, fabrication of shop aids and fixtures to assist fabrication and welding.
    • Borescope inspection for root side weld defects. Visual weld inspection using fillet weld gauges, calipers, micrometers, height gauges and final weld fixtures.
    • Lean Manufacturing, general housekeeping, work in a teaming environment, 5S.
    • Daily compliance to customer drawings and specifications to maintain aerospace Quality Standards.
    • Complies with internal quality system and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintains qualification for welding certifications.
    • Cleans work area, tools, and equipment at end of shift.
    • Follows all business policies and procedures.
    • Ability to pass TIG tack welding assessment to become certified on required alloy/joint combinations.
    • Ability to read/write/speak English.
    • Legal authorization to work in the US.
    Makes decisions based on experience and available data.


    • Requires minimal supervision to plan and schedule workload according to production schedule to meet manufacturing needs.
