Director of Women's Basketball Operations - Cookeville, United States - Tennessee Tech University
Description
Essential FunctionsCoordinates daily administration of the basketball program in conjunction with the head coach. Assists with ensuring the basketball program's compliance with NCAA rules and regulations.
Serves as team travel coordinator including arrangement of transportation, lodging and meals, coordination of trip itinerary, and arrangement of practice times at host institution facility.
Travels with team to ensure all team needs are met. Coordinates video acquisition and exchange for non-conference opponents. Arranges pre- and post-game meals for home games. Assists in oversight of student managers. Assists with the organization and execution of basketball program events and fundraising activities. Performs other duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Playing or program experience with a collegiate basketball team. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a high volume environment. Ability to work nights, weekends, and varied hours. Commitment to adhere to NCAA and OVC rules and regulations as well as University policies and procedures. Basketball philosophy must strongly complement that of the head coach.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of program experience with a collegiate basketball team.
Work Hours
The scope of the position requires weekend and evening work as well as out-of-town travel.
