Job summary
The Patient Care Technician performs various patient care duties for the department under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse or other medical staff.- Collects and records patient data, reporting information and observations to the nurse in a timely fashion.
- Obtains and records vital signs, height and weight; records nutritional intake and output; and performs blood glucose monitoring via fingerstick blood samples, test strips and portable meters.
