SimVentions, consistently voted one Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to work on a Navy tactical Electronic Warfare system that integrates with the full suite of combat sensors.

SimVentions is looking for engineers with pertinent experience to be part of a team that supports the US Navy's focus on integrating surface Electronic Warfare systems with the overall Combat System networks.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical expertise and assist with network integration and consolidation efforts across multiple systems environments
Addresses and resolves technical problems of moderate complexity relating to the installation and upgrade of network hardware and systems
The Systems Engineer will provide system engineering and design for Naval EW sensors and systems
Responsible for applying engineering skills in the technical planning, systems integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for complex solutions or products
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, and detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into technical solutions and continuously validate those solutions through delivery
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Interact at the highest levels with client engineers and customers
Coordinate and technically consult with projects engineers

Requirements:
Hands on experience with the implementation and use of network monitoring, fault management and performance analysis tools
Familiarity with data center infrastructure and experience with Cisco routers and switches

Experience with network security concepts, best practices and technologies including, but not limited to, SSH, IPSec, TACACs, firewall policies and 802.

Possess excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Skills & Experience:
Familiarization with Surface Naval EW programs

Education:
Bachelors degree, and 5 or more years of experience, or equivalent relevant work experience

Clearance:
An active Secret Clearance is required for this position.

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
Travel : 25% (Washington DC – Moorestown, NJ – Syracuse, NY – Baltimore, MD)
