    Job Description

    :This position is responsible for performing general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission

    As a Janitor Lead you know that every day is different, which is why you need to know how to:
    Facilitates the operation of the department by handling day to day procedures.
    Monitors workload demands and flexes labor to meet the demand. Works with Department Director to modify systems to meet customer needs.
    Assists Director with interviewing, orientating, counseling, mentoring, training and evaluating laundry associates.
    Consults with the Department Director on decisions regarding product/supply mix- Leads environmental services staff in the absence of Department Supervisor- Maintains all floor surfaces- Disposes of all infectious and non-infectious waste- Responsible for all furniture moving and set up- Maintains wall and ceiling surfaces, including lights.
    Maintains all entrances.
    Inventories, orders and stocks supplies as required.
    Demonstrates communication skills according to age of patient/visitor/customer. Provides proper instructions to patients/visitor/customer relative to his/her age requirements.

    Minimum Qualifications

    - High School Diploma or GED preferred
