    Description
    Starting at $16/Hr

    1. Job Purpose/Objective:

    The purpose of this position is to deliver a high level of personalized service to clients, guests, vendors, etc. at Lihue Airport and Nawiliwili Pier. This individual will represent the company in a professional manner infusing the Spirit of Aloha in all their interactions (always applying the Standard of Service).

    2. Essential Job Functions:

    Incumbent may perform any or all of the following:
    • To know and be on time for daily schedule
    • Be in proper uniform and check schedule daily
    • Pick up daily assignments / manifests, tablet, Nextel, and greeter's sign at dispatch
    • Check airport arrivals to ensure flight is on time and/or delayed
    • Be at assigned station and/or gate as directed to meet / greet guests
    • Meeting at Pier Terminal:
    • Following Standards of Service - Greet guests
    • Escort guest to transportation
    • Meeting at Gate:
    • Following Standards of Service - Greet guests
    • Escort to baggage
    • If porters are not available assist with luggage
    • Escort guest to transportation
    • Meeting at Baggage Claim:
    • Following Standards of Service - Greet guests
    • Escort to baggage
    • Escort guest to transportation
    • Once assignment is completed check with dispatch for any updates to assignment / manifest
    • Move on to next assignment.
    • At the end of the day - file the daily report and turn it in.
    • # of pieces moved
    • # of guests met and/or escorted
    • Documentation of any no shows / add on(s), etc.
      • Attend all training and/or staff meetings.
      • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
    3. Essential Skills (Minimum qualifications individual must possess when entering position) - i.e., skillsets, education, certifications, etc.:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum 18 years of age
    • Work flexible shifts - weekends, evenings, and holidays.
    • Able to adjust to changing schedules.
    • Interact professionally with all individuals - guests, vendors, agents, clients, etc.
    • Able to write basic reports.
    • Simple math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication).
    • Basic computer skills
    • Enjoys interacting with individuals daily.
    • Builds customer confidence.
    • Committed to increasing customer satisfaction, set achievable customer expectations, assumes responsibility for solving customer problems, ensure commitments to customers are met, solicits opinions and ideas from customers, respond to internal customers.

    4. Working Conditions/Job Environment:
    • Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Some remote work may be necessary.
    • Walking, and standing for extended period of time.
    • Frequently lifting and reaching.
    • Occasionally pushing, pulling, bending
    • Must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately.
    • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound.
    • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned.
    • The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
