    Job Description

    Why us, why now?


    The AAMC has an opportunity for a Data Management Specialist to play a role in AAMCs forward-thinking strategic data offerings.

    Using data strategy methods, you will develop appropriate programs, solutions, and systems documentation.

    How will you make an impact?

    Perform bulk data loads in AAMC enterprise and data warehouse databases.
    Maintain enterprise reference data.
    Perform Identity and access management tasks including assignment, maintenance, and quality control.
    Perform authorization processes for AAMC application.
    Create and maintain reusable enterprise level components.
    Develop custom or recurring data reports.
    Enhance AAMC data security by developing scripts to mask data in our lower environments.
    Develop data repository requirements, data dictionaries and warehousing requirements.

    Prepare and keep current database documentation, data maintenance process documentation, requirement and business rule specifications, and data change control process requirements in accordance with AAMC policies.

    Collaborate with fellow architects, business analysts, developers, and project managers to solve problems.
    Develop Informatica / AWS Glue or any other ETL components.

    What You Will Bring To The Role

    Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline required.
    2+ years of related work experience
    Good Oracle and/or Postgres SQL programming skills
    AWS Cloud services experience
    Good understanding of Data analysis and processing
    Good understanding of programming concepts and practices
    Proficiency using MS Word, Visio, and Excel
    Experience with Informatica, AWS Glue a plus

    Remote Work Eligibility

    This position is eligible for remote work in the contiguous US

    If a bachelor's degree is required, related work experience may be substituted in some positions. One year of college course work at an accredited institution is equivalent to one year of related work experience.
