    Job Summary:
    The Cardiovascular Intensivist Advanced Practitioner Provider (APP) is a certified, licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who independently and collaboratively works with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to acutely ill and/or medically complex patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
    Qualifications:
    • Must be a board-certified and licensed Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant/Associate.
    • Must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI) or secure one prior to the commencement of employment and comply with current Medicare billing requirements.
    • Current DEA Registration is required for schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5, along with appropriate state-issued prescribing authority.
    • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are mandatory; the candidate must also obtain Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) certification within one year of employment.
    • Preferred: A minimum of one year of experience in a cardiovascular critical care setting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, or equivalent CVICU experience as a registered nurse.
