AVAILABLE SHIFTS:
5PM-5AM

We are looking for a Slitter Machine operator to work out of our PolyMaskPlant locatedin Aurora.

This position is for 12 hrsshift 5 am-5 pm, and 5pm-5am, hrsa week.

Summary:

Theprimary role of a slitter Operator is setting-up and operatinga slitting machine to cut rolls of Protective Film to documented specifications and/or winding or rewinding as necessary to ensure optimumsafety, quality and production while minimizing cost, energy, and waste in our team-based environment.

NOTE:

Detailed instructions for the task of Slitter Operation are provided in Work Instruction WP5 – Slitter Setup, Operation, and Shut-down.

Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesincludethe following. Other duties may be assigned.

Support Environmental Health & Safety for the facility, following all current policies and procedures and making an effortto improve the Environmental Health and Safety performance of our facility.

Set-up and operateAdhesive Coating machines to efficiency, qualityand order specifications.
Make quality checks
Maintain visual workplace standards.
Complete required paperwork including visual check sheets and run condition sheets
Monitors and maintainsquality by looking for defects in the products
Safely operateJib hoists and pallet jacks
Meets established production goals
Enters production data in SAP
Actively participatein all Continuous Improvement, Safety and Quality initiatives
Performs housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe work environment
Understands and supports PolyMaskQuality Policy.
Understands PolyMaskQuality Objectives, and aids in the achievement of them.

Contributes to the continual improvement of PolyMask'sQuality Management System by following current written policies, procedures, and work instructions, etc., while providing constructive feedback, input, and suggestions.

What we look for.

Prior experience in slitting operation is preferred but not required

Must have the ability to work in a team-based environment, assist others when needed and lead by example while focusing on safety, qualityand productivity.

Must believe in promoting a positive culture within the facility focused on pride, ownershipand accountability
Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to quantify results, identifynew opportunities, adapt to changeand interfacewith all levels of management

Basic computer skills ( SAPknowledge is a plus)
