- Design a range of transformers from small PCB mount to 5 MVA, including medium voltage dry type
- Create Inductors and Reactors for various frequency applications
- Support novel transformer design concepts for high power density applications
- Develop custom magnetics, estimate product costs, and create design documentation
- Own magnetic components from start to finish - from specification to manufacturing
- Collaborate with drafting for documentation packages, test procedures, and technical reports
- Interpret customer specifications and impact on design
- Troubleshoot transformer product builds
- Mentor others in magnetic design efforts
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers on design reports and test procedures
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transformers and magnetic devices
- Must be a US citizen eligible for US Government security clearance
- Experience in ruggedized products for Military and heavy industrial applications
- Experience with magnetics for airborne, ground mobile, or Naval applications
- Knowledge of Excel, Solidworks, FEA methods, MATLAB or equivalent
- Demonstrated expertise in unique design techniques
- Experience with BIL requirements and dry type transformers
- Knowledge of ANSI/IEEE standards and MILSPEC standards
- Strong writing skills for technical documentation
- Comfortable with complex problem-solving and critical thinking
- Competencies in project management, leadership, collaboration, and innovation
- Salary Range: $85,000 - $140,000 based on experience
- Four-day work week
