    Description
    The Director of Strategic Account Management reports to the Vice President of Strategic Account Management and leads account management team(s) to develop and maximize improved alignment with hospital partners to drive membership growth, and improve the quality of member health outcomes and access to care.

    The Director will support the Vice President of Strategic Account Management as a primary point of contact and interface between Healthfirst and designated hospital systems, including sponsor hospitals, with the objective of providing exceptional engagement experience.

    The Director is responsible for the engagement and performance of designated partner hospitals on initiatives that include risk sharing, member attribution, and quality. The Director will support the development and implementation of Annual Strategic Action Plans for each designated hospital account.

    This role will support enterprise growth and requires executive presence, an enterprise mindset, and the ability to lead cross-functional, matrixed, and high-performing teams.
    • Support as Strategic Development Lead with each (3-4) hospital sponsor and key network partners
    • Manage account managers and team to drive improvement in quality outcomes, growth, performance and aligned communications
    • Support development and implementation of Annual Strategic Action Plan with each assigned hospital partner (identify growth opportunities, support strategic objectives and business planning of each sponsor hospital, manage performance, and streamline communications to maximize value and deliver strong financial results).
    • Develop implementation timeline and leads execution of Annual Strategic Action Plan to ensure support and success across priority initiatives.
    • Provide recommendation to identify and lead system capability requirements for additional tools and resources to expand and improve account management, and potential investment requirements
    • Coordinate communication and data flow between Healthfirst and sponsor hospitals and network partners
    • Strong understanding of Healthfirst risk model and of New York healthcare market

    Minimum Requirements:

    • A minimum of five to ten years of experience in the healthcare industry
    • Ability to coalesce various internal stakeholders departments and functions
    • Exceptional influencing and problem solving skills to align key external leaders to a new operating model
    • Demonstrated ability to manage complexity and ambiguity
    • Experience creating dashboards, reporting metrics, synthesizing and delivering key information through organizations
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively present ideas and build consensus with stakeholders
    • Excellent presentation skills with experience presenting to executive audiences
    • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance
    • Ability to drive effective change
    • Experience managing large cross-functional and matrixed teams

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's and Master's degrees in healthcare administration, public health, business, economics, or another related field
    • Experience with Change Management approaches
    • Experience in a hospital engagement role with large hospital systems

    Hiring Range*:

    • Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $176,525 - $225,080
    • All Other Locations (within approved locations): $121,400 - $185,725

    As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
