- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred. Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation. Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
- Preferred experience in the specialty.
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.

Description
RN - Palliative Care Clinic - Full Time Day Shift - Detroit / 9:30am - 6pm M-F, No Weekends/Holidays/On-CallLooking for nurses who are passionate about the palliative population. The clinic works directly with Henry Ford Cancer patients. Our nurses coordinate care for patients pertaining to their pain & symptom issues. We do a lot of triaging, education, in-basket, medication refills, some scheduling, lots of therapeutic communication with patients/families, etc.
Minimum of 1 year RN inpatient or Ambulatory/Clinic RN experience. Experience with cancer patients and/or hospice experience in a hospital environment. Some leadership experience preferred.
In addition to orientation, you will be required to complete palliative courses we provide within 6 months. Palliative Certification will also be required within 2 years. (Henry Ford Health covers the cost)
