Description:Mechanical Strategies is currently looking for a Mechanical Piping Estimator to help estimate their projects along the east coast. Currently all estimating is being performed by their owner but he needs to focus on growing and running the business rather than estimating jobs. Mechanical strategies ONLY self performs mechanical piping jobs and they do not do anything to support the duct work side of the business.
Piping Estimator will have 5+ years of experience as an estimator for Mechanical piping jobs. This individual will have to be highly proficient in doing takeoffs and accurately pricing jobs to win.


Key Responsibilities:
Produce meticulous and comprehensive HVAC piping and/or Process piping estimates for commercial and industrial projects.
Utilize proprietary estimating software for accurate takeoffs of piping systems and associated components.
Develop competitive bid prices and proposals for projects in the seven-figure range.
Proficiently interpret and comprehend project plans, specifications and all other bid documents.
Initiate and manage Requests for Information (RFIs) as necessary.

Actively participate in site walk-throughs and job inspectionsPrepare thorough bids by developing a comprehensive estimate including equipment, material, labor and subcontractor costs.

Review bids from vendors and subcontractors for specified materials and equipment.
Uphold quality standards in line with organizational protocols, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
