    The Food & Beverage Manager reports to the Director of Food & Beverage and is responsible for ensuring that visitors to the hotel are delighted by the quality, creativity and variety of our food and beverage offerings, and that our culinary reputation is second to none in our local market.

    Be curious about the latest in food and beverage styling and design
    Be aware of competitor offerings in the local market
    Be an ambassador of Los Olivos, reach out in the community to foster relationships, market the food & beverage aspects of the hotel, and be present in the outlets for continual feedback and areas for improvement
    Be aware of the best external competitor offerings in the local market, and continually work to improve our own offerings with the goal of being the best in the market
    Ensure that all Food & Beverage Standards are being adhered to
    Oversee all Food & Beverage and Catering areas, ensuring a smooth running, profitable operation within the Hotel
    Remain personally responsible for maximizing quality levels of product and service, and guest satisfaction
    Develop and supervise all F&B team members, delivering motivational and inspirational daily rallies
    Identify training needs and develop and deliver the required training for departmental employees
    Complete duties as assigned by the Director of Food & Beverage
    Assist with the training and development of all F&B team members
    Work alongside team members to create a culture of teamwork and service excellence
    Three or more years' operating experience in Food & Beverage operations
    Experience in maintaining state and federal health and safety regulations
    Proven experience in driving a profitable operation
    Strong administrative skills, to include, reporting, budgeting, project management
    Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal English communication skills; computer literate.
    Strong organizational skills
    Experience curating and executing creative events in a variety of settings
    Ability to respond to emergency situations and remain calm.
    Positive, honest, and energetic work ethic

    Strong F&B background, preferably having knowledge of Santa Barbara Wine Country and an affinity for wines, the ability to connect with local staff, deliver creative F&B offerings, drive a culture of excellence, be a consummate host, and have an eye for the finer points of great personalized service.

    Understanding of expenses and payroll cost control.
    Ability to manage key talent and culture processes:

    Recruitment and selection
    Performance management
    Daily rallies and on-going development of the F&B team

    Computer literate (ability to learn new programs, interact with Excel/Word and GSuite)
    Outgoing and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.

    Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including in front of a group, with ability to communicate detailed instructions and hold team accountable for results.

    Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds.
    Self-motivated and results oriented.
    Ability to read, analyze and interpret common technical reports, journals, and financial reports.
    Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
    Ability to work well under pressure
    Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage, or related field preferred.
    Sommelier and/or mixology certifications preferred.
    $75,000 - $85,000/Year
