    Minimum Requirements:

    High School Diploma or High School Equivalent, must have prior experience as a mechanic.

    Position Description: (primary functions)

    Provide general and preventative maintenance of the institution's vehicles

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    Duties include, but may not be limited to, the following:
    • Provide preventative maintenance and repairs on all vehicles owned by the institution
      • Cars, trucks, and utility vehicles.
      • School buses.
    • Advise and cooperate with the Supervisor of Transportation on acquiring needed parts and materials.
    • Make basic repairs to shop equipment.
    • Work cooperatively with other shop employees.
    • Keep a daily log of all repairs.
    • Report any vehicle that is not safe to operate to the Transportation Supervisor.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the Transportation Supervisor and Physical Plant Director.
