Job summary
The University of Tennessee School of Natural Resources is seeking a highly motivated data manager with strong programming skills to support research education outreach activities.This position will lead data infrastructure efforts manage large environmental natural resource datasets support faculty researchers through database development software development data analytics.
Responsibilities include developing scripts tools automate data processing quality control generating updating documentation metadata FIA National Resource Use Monitoring NRUM database procedures data processing packages ensuring integrity backup security protocols managing sharing compliance FAIR principles developing machine learning algorithms forestry applications implementing policies ensure accuracy completeness consistency creating dashboards visualizations web-based tools internal public use collaborating faculty analysts university research partners.
