Job description
A full-time, school-based contract opportunity is available for a licensed Occupational Therapist in Waukegan, IL, for the 2024/2025 school year.
This role involves providing therapy services to support students development and enhance their ability to participate in educational activities and daily school tasks.
Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to student needs within the school environment
Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
Promote student independence and engagement during school activities
Participate actively in team meetings and contribute to a positive educational atmosphere
Qualifications
Masters degree in Occupational Therapy
Current Illinois Occupational Therapy license
Experience working in a school-based setting preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and school staff
Ability to function well within a multidisciplinary team environment
