    We're on the lookout for a dynamic, per diem Pharmacist to join our team and make a difference in the lives of residents in long-term care facilities.


    Salary range:
    $60-$65/hour


    Essential Functions:

    • Ensure PV2 is meeting its commitments for pharmacy run times and exceeding expectations of our customers / colleagues performing PV1.
    • Final review all prescriptions before toting process
    • Verify contents of E-Kits.
    • Pull control medication to match that of label, if needed.
    • Process and compound sterile and non-sterile products.
    • Oversee the processing of new and refill IV orders and supplies
    • Track IV pump returns
    • Make necessary NDC Changes
    • Process new and completed backorders.
    • Final review OOP meds
    • Verify REMs submission and final review Clozapine orders.
    • Check medications that have been pre-packaged.
    • Oversee floor technicians.
    • Assist pharmacy technicians as needed.
    • On-Call when scheduled.
    • Abide by all federal and state laws pertaining to the practice of pharmacy.
    • Follow the pharmacy policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective medication use, including participation in the pharmacys continuous quality improvement program.
    • Report medication errors to management as they occur.
    • Knowledge of medication, interactions, and dosage.
    • Complete QA Sheets.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Flex into PV1 role as available.
    • Maintain inventory accuracy and cleanliness of the narcotic room.
    • Maintain standards of the IV room
    • Review inventory of the IV supplies and order as necessary
    • Review inventory of c2 products and report to PIC if narcotic room supply is low
    • Process control meds for destruction
    • Signing in the control order. Preparing and distributing the narcs to assigned tech to foil (also fill out the sheet associated)

    Requirements:

    • Licensed by the State Board of Pharmacy.
    • 2-3 years of experience required
    • IV Experience Preferred
    • LTC Experience Preferred
