    --One of our clients, an established oncology office, is looking for a Chemotherapy Pharmacy Technician to join their team. The position is full-time with a great compensation and benefits package.

    Job Description -The Chemotherapy Pharmacy Technician will support an established oncology office by managing pharmacy operations focused on cancer care. In collaboration with oncology pharmacists and other healthcare staff, the technician plays a critical role in the accurate and compassionate preparation of medications, with a specific focus on chemotherapy and biotherapy preparations. The role demands a meticulous attention to detail, the ability to operate in a sensitive and fast-paced environment, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
    Responsibilities & duties:
    • Assist in the preparation of chemotherapy and other cancer-related medications. While direct administration to patients is not required, ensuring accurate and safe preparation is essential.
    • Monitor inventory levels and manage supplies, including conducting both electronic and manual checks to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages.
    • Utilize the nucleus system for generating reports and also perform manual checks to verify report accuracy.
    • Calculate pharmacological mass as required for medication preparation, ensuring precise dosing.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.

    Required Qualifications:
    • Minimum 1-year experience as a pharmacy technician, with required experience in oncology IV mixing of chemotherapy drugs. Biotherapy certification is highly desirable.
    • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate relevant experience in pharmacy operations, including proficiency in the preparation of chemotherapy medications.
    • Competency in using pharmacy information systems and software is essential, along with a basic understanding of pharmacy law and medical terminology.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in pharmacy technology or a related field is a plus.
