    Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

    Location: Buena Park, CA

    Employment Type: Full-time, Short Term Contract

    Salary Range: $40 - $45 per hour (depending on experience)

    Job Description:

    We are actively seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based role in Buena Park, CA. The successful candidate will work closely with a team of professionals to provide speech and language therapy services to students in accordance with local and state regulations.

    Requirements:

    • Must meet all requirements set forth by local and state regulations for SLPA licensure.
    • Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • Commitment to providing high-quality services to students.

    Job Duties:

    • Implement speech and language therapy interventions as directed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
    • Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to address communication goals.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students receiving speech and language services.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and therapy sessions.
    • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success in the classroom and beyond.
    • Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and other school-related activities as needed.
    • Stay current with best practices and developments in the field of speech-language pathology.
