    Job Description

    This position presents an opportunity to contribute to the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan repayment reimbursement program administered by the VHA. Eligible candidates must meet specific requirements, as outlined in VHA policy and submit their EDRP application within four months of appointment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Pursue and secure approval for the EDRP, including award amount determination and eligibility period specification.
    • Maintain active participation in the program, adhering to established guidelines and timelines.

    Eligibility Requirements

    To be eligible for this position, applicants must possess:

    • United States citizenship or meet VA Policy requirements for non-citizenship appointments.
    • A degree of doctor of medicine or its equivalent from an accredited institution.
    • A current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the United States.
    • Completion of residency training approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program.
    • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
    • Preferred experience in PTSD, Mental Health, and board certification.
