    Job Summary


    The Cardiovascular Tech RCIS assists with technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the supervisor and physician.



    Responsibilities



    • Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.

    • Interprets basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, operating physiologic recorder, interpreting normal and abnormal pressures, wave forms.

    • Serves as a scrub tech during most procedures by operating imaging equipment under the direction of the physician.

    • Maintains patient status during diagnostic procedures by monitoring vital signs, handing supplies to the scrub tech, operating imaging equipment under doctor's orders.

    • Cleans lab area stock rooms after each use demonstrate effective inventory control.  Demonstrates knowledge medications dosages used post procedure safety removes arterial venous sheath maintains hemostasis monitors patient status troubleshoots equipment problems preps patients for labs maintains sterile technique.
