Job summary
The job involves heavy cleaning duties to maintain the hospital in an orderly condition for patients and personnel. The individual will perform tasks such as shampoos carpets and upholstery using manual and motorized devices dusts high vents lights pipes lockers ceilings washes window glass throughout the hospital complex cleans miscellaneous items such as wastebaskets television sets fans rubber mats etc. Prepares all burn and radiation rooms by laying protective covering cleans dust washes disinfects beds mattresses sleeping carts throughout the hospital complex picks up disposes of rubbish soiled linen patient floors deposits down chute transports to laundry places in rubbish truck as appropriate removes rubbish transport waste boxes chemo waste performs minor services trucks replace screws grease wheels operates bailer equipment bailing boxes transporting recycle totes trailer washes spot cleans walls polishes woodwork furniture brass fittings stainless steel elevator doors kick plates etc. Cleans dirt snow salt sidewalks entrances buildings hospital complex changes cubicle curtains draperies removes washes window blinds makes repairs takes laundry linen inventory physically counting pieces documenting results forms may perform Housekeeping Aide I Laundry Aide II duties required assists supply clerks supply room equipment room services batteries battery operated devices makes conference room set-ups meetings parties performs duties supply clerks absence.Job description
