Job Selection Expectations:

Applications, resumes, letters of reference, and written samples will be reviewed for required certification; demonstrated related knowledge, skills, and abilities, and ability to communicate effectively. As candidates progress through the selection process, they may be asked to perform additional written exercises, complete panel interviews, and perform a sample lesson related to the subject area.

Additional qualifications and experience will be considered and may be necessary or desirable for individual positions along with a demonstrated competency in writing and communication skills.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability and experience providing targeted small-group mathematics interventions for students performing below benchmark
• Skill in fostering positive classroom environments through effective classroom management and proactive behavior supports
• Skill in cognitively engaging students using varied Depth of Knowledge (DOK) levels and formative assessment practices to adjust instruction in real time
• Knowledge of Pennsylvania mathematics standards and ability to support alignment of curriculum, instruction, and assessment to ensure coherence and rigor
• Knowledge of effective professional learning design to plan and facilitate sustained, job-embedded professional development in mathematics, with preference given to candidates who have led learning initiatives for elementary educators
• Knowledge of high-leverage instructional practices in mathematics, including strengthening Tier 1 core instruction to reduce the need for intensive intervention
• Knowledge of student assessment systems, including NWEA MAP and Acadience Math, including administration and interpretation of results to inform instructional decision-making (experience preferred)
• Ability to actively contribute to and support Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) processes, including intervention planning and progress monitoring
• Ability and experience with designing and delivering real-time instructional coaching, including modeling, co-teaching, demonstration lessons, and reflective feedback cycles
• Skill and experience in grant writing and resource development to secure funding and expand instructional support for teachers and students
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including facilitating professional dialogue, delivering feedback, and building collaborative relationships
• Ability to support communication with families regarding student progress and mathematics intervention strategies
• Ability to uphold district policies, professional ethical standards, and a culture of continuous improvement

Anticipated Duration:

Full-Time Professional Employee (beginning school year)
