License – Transcripts - Test Scores – 2 Current Letters of Reference

Job Goal: This position requires an individual to perform duties and responsibilities with minimal to no supervision.  Must have the ability to communicate and articulate responsibilities and requirements as a specialist for student with a speech and/or language delay.

Performance Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Possess and demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to assist individuals and teams through the development and implementation of services and supports to meet the needs of children with a speech and/or language delay
  • Collaboratively works with each of the 5 member districts in the spced cooperative to provide direct and/or consultative services relating to speech/language
  • Serves as TOR for some students that have an IEP with primary speech or language eligibility
  • Complete evaluations, write eval reports, schedule and hole IEP meetings for students referred for speech and/or language evaluations
  • Coordinate with psych staff and evaluation team to participate in autism evaluations
  • Provide speech and language therapy for students on caseload
  • Have knowledge of assistive technology and other devices that are designed to improve communication and independent learning for students
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other relevant staff to ensure that teachers understand the impact of the language delay on the student's learning
