- Provides input and supervises all pre-construction services such as purchase orders, subcontracts, schedules, job cost set-up, and project pre-planning.
- Works with the Vice President of Operations to obtain the personnel resources required to properly staff the project.
- Review project proposals or plans to determine the time frame, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
- Manages the financial aspects of contracts; ensures job margin analysis is completed regularly.
- Develop a baseline project schedule with assistance from the Superintendent
- Monitors and reports project cost and schedule performance; recommends corrective actions if needed.
- Assists Superintendent with problem or conflict resolution; assists in driving subcontractors or workforce.
- Performs or supervises contract and subcontract administration, including Change Orders, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, and RFIs
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in the construction field.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods and materials, costing, scheduling, and estimating.
- Ability to think ahead over a one-to-two-year plan.
- Ability to lead others.
