    The Procurement Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all procurement activities within the organization. This role plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance with relevant regulations and policies.

    Core Responsibilities & Essential Job Functions

    • Strategic Planning:
      • Develop and implement the procurement strategy in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
      • Identify cost-saving opportunities, negotiate supplier agreements, and manage vendor relationships to optimize procurement processes.
      • Lead cross-functional teams in the negotiation of contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve favorable terms and conditions.
      • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide strategic guidance on procurement best practices.
    • Procurement Operations:
      • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, purchasing, and delivery.
      • Ensure timely and efficient procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, and services required by various departments.
      • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and performance metrics.
      • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
    • Vendor Management:
      • Evaluate and select suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure the best value, quality, and delivery performance.
      • Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost objectives and implement corrective actions when necessary.
    • Compliance and Risk Management:
      • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
      • Assess and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supply chain disruptions.
    • Budget Management:
      • Develop and manage the procurement budget, controlling costs while maintaining quality and service levels.
    • Continuous Improvement:
      • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
      • Implement best practices and innovative procurement techniques.
    Qualifications

    Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus
    • Proven experience in procurement, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership type role.
    • Strong negotiation skills and vendor management experience.
    • Knowledge of procurement software and systems.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
    • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations.
    • Certification in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CPM, or similar) is a plus.
    • Workday Procurement experience is a plus.
    Knowledge & Skills:
    • Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
    • A commitment to the values of the organization while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, patience
      and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.), especially Excel and related computer software.
    • Consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
    • Work in an exciting, fast paced high energy environment while effectively multitasking and managing day-to-day
    • responsibilities without supervision.
    • Personable; able to work comfortably with individuals at all levels within the organization.
    • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills; frequent proofreading and checking documents for accuracy.
    • Must be highly detail oriented.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to communicate effectively within the work environment, read and write using the primary language within the workplace.
    • Visual and auditory ability to work with clients, staff and others in the workplace continuously.
    • Frequent speaking and listening (25-75%) to clients, staff, and others in the workplace.
    • Utilize computer and cell phone for effective communication.
    Conditions of Employment
    • Ability to obtain and maintain criminal record clearance through the Department of Justice (DOJ). The People & Performance Department must analyze DOJ/FBI live scan reports in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, as well as fitness for the position.
    • Occasional Driving: Must have a valid Driver's License with Insurance and maintain a clean driving record.
    • Must be able to pass credit check
    • Ability to obtain and maintain clearance through the Office of Inspector General.
    • Able to travel to multiple work sites. Reliable transportation needed.
    • Must attend any required training.
    • COVID-19 vaccination and subsequent boosters required for any in office presence at all company locations.
