- Assist orthopedic surgeons in the operating room, including pre-operative preparation, intra-operative assistance, and post-operative care.
- Conduct pre-operative evaluations and assessments of patients, including obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests as needed.
- Provide post-operative care and follow-up to patients, including wound care, medication management, and monitoring of recovery progress.
- Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons to develop and implement treatment plans for patients with orthopedic conditions, including fractures, joint injuries, and degenerative diseases.
- Conduct clinic visits and assist with outpatient procedures, such as injections, casting, and splinting.
- Educate patients and their families about orthopedic conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including documenting patient encounters, procedures performed, and treatment plans.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Washington or ability to obtain
- Previous experience working in orthopedics or a surgical specialty preferred.
- Strong surgical skills and the ability to assist in a variety of orthopedic procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

An established orthopedics practice located in the Tumwater, WA area is looking for a Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team. The practice features a team of highly skilled orthopedic surgeons dedicated to delivering outstanding outcomes to our patients. As a PA in the practice, you will play a vital role in assisting our team of orthopedic surgeons in providing comprehensive care to our patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in both the operating room and clinic settings. Candidates with direct orthopedic experience will be given priority, however the group is willing to train as well.
