    Opportunity for an engineering student to work at Bowling Green Corvette Assembly Plant at General Motors

    Intern – Quality Engineering

    Schedule:

    Able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week during school

    M-F flexible around classes schedule, 6am-3pm

    Able to work a minimum of 12 hours per week during school

    May work up to 32 hours per week during school breaks (Summer, Winter, etc.)

    MUST BE A CURRENT STUDENT AT WESTERN KENTUCKEY – Or another accredited University

    Description:

    Develops and maintains a system for managing office routine

    · Assists in planning, conducting and evaluating projects

    · Monitors programs and projects

    · Frequent contact with others outside the work group

    · Maintains technical expertise and procedural knowledge

    · Keeps supervision advised of work in process

    · Assumes operational assignments as a working member

    · Assists in the coordination of special or unusual projects

    Responsibilities

    • Support efforts to achieve quality driven initiatives
    • Support of problem-solving activities
    • Support statistical data analytics activities
    • Support other continuous improvement efforts
    • Other duties as assigned by Quality Managers

    Qualifications

    • Must be enrolled at WKU, or an accredited university

    Strong computer, communication and presentation skills are a must

    Obtaining a degree in Manufacturing/ Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
