    Job Description:

    Plan, execute, and launch high volume ICE passenger vehicle transmission and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Electric Drive Unit (EDU) electrification projects for U.S., Canada and Mexico Transmission and DU plants.

    Perform and engineer electrical designs to meet GCCH-1, GCCS-2 and SP-E-60204 standards.
    Engineer and validate designs including Safety Integration Level 3 and 4 (SIL 4) hardware for industrial safety.

    Engineer, design, and implement automation controls including machining equipment and cutting tools, ancillary equipment, robotics, material handling, parts sorting, conveyors, heat treat systems, and automation controls technologies including Siemens Sinumerik 840D CNC, PLCs Human Machine Interfaces(HMIs), 3D/2D machine vision systems including Cognex In-Sight Explorer, Matrox Design Assistant, error proofing systems, and plant floor networks, using AutoCAD and EPlan tools for hardware and Siemens Step 7, Siemens STARTER, Siemens SIZER, Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio5000, Rockwell FactoryTalk View Studio, Rockwell RSLinx, Promess Motion PRO for software.

    Required travel in U.S., Canada, and Mexico, to supplier plants to evaluate progress of Computerized Numeric Control (CNC) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)-based machinery builds, and to GM transmission and electric drive unit (DU) plants to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes and facilities layouts, and support launches, 2-4 weeks per year (equal to ~4-8% annual travel).
