One year of specialized experience which includes: 1.) Utilizing various financial systems to initiate reports, perform research, analyze financial transactions or adjustments, or resolve financial data discrepancies. 2.) Interpreting, applying, and providing guidance on regulations governing Financial Management and Accounting programs 3.) Gathering and analyzing financial program data to verify accuracy and compliance with policies and procedures; and 4.) Maintaining, evaluating, or improving automated financial systems.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:
Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Additional information * Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade Not to Exceed (NTE) 2 years by a current permanent Army employee.
Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted.
