    About:

    An AmLaw Top 100 firm is actively seeking an Patent Prosecution associate to join their Intellectual Property practice. This exciting opportunity is open to their Silicon Valley, San Francisco, or Santa Monica offices. They have more than 400 lawyers in 7 offices in major cities throughout the United States and Asia.

    About the practice:

    The firm's Patent group has been nationally recognized by leading publications such as The Legal 500 and Chambers USA. Their team of 60+ registered patent professionals, many with Phds and other advanced degrees, and experience in disciplines such as chemistry, molecular biology and immunology, provide strategic patent prosecution and counseling and IP due diligence for numerous life sciences companies and investors.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum one year of legal practice experience, preferably at a law firm
    • PhD (or MD with research experience) in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, cell biology, immunology, molecular biology, microbiology, oncology, gene editing, gene therapy, or a related field
    • Member of (or eligible to be a member of) the bar of the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
    • Member (or eligible to be a member of) the California bar
    • Strong academic credentials
    • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
