    What You'll Do :


    The Software Engineer will be responsible for ongoing backend development, integrations with IoT products, working with microservices architecture, system debugging and more.

    The Software Engineer will also provide support to the mobile application team when developing new interfaces and debugging issues.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Develops new features or bug fixes for backend solutions
    Develops new IoT integrations for connected hardware products
    Works with design team on implementing new application designs
    Performs unit and functional testing to ensure the quality of your work
    Works with the support team to identify and resolve issues
    Experiments and creates proof of concept prototypes for new features
    Assists with development of new features or bug fixes for mobile apps
    Will perform additional responsibilities when required


    Our Tech Stack:
    Cloud-native, serverless infrastructure on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.)
    GraphQL APIs and REST APIs
    Modern TypeScript and Python codebases
    Microservices Architecture

    Develop reliable systems using best technical practices

    Cross-functional collaboration with different teams within the organization
    Will perform additional responsibilities when required

    Requirements


    What You'll Bring :
    BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent in experience
    3+ years of TypeScript or Python
    3+ years of experience in backend development
    3+ Experience with Cloud systems: 2+ years of experience with containers
    2+ years of experience with GraphQL
    2+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines
    Experience shipping software products to market
    Ability to work closely with design staff and to implement design direction
    Ability to take ideas from concept to prototype
    Ability to write clean code with an emphasis on maintainability
    Ability to work in cross-functional teams
    Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
    Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruptions
    A high degree of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to motivate others
    Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Team Members and colleagues
    Comfortable with office pets (cats, dogs)

    Not Required but Nice to Have

    Experience with Agile methodologies
    Experience with encryption implementations
    Familiarity with IoT systems / hardware integrations
    Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools
    Familiarity with Magento (1 or 2)
