Law Firm Senior Accounting Specialist - Newport Beach

Job summary
The Senior Accounting Specialist is a hands-on role that provides critical support to the Controller and contributes to the accuracy and integrity of the firm's financial operations.This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial data, supporting month-end close, and contributing to process improvements.
To be successful, the Senior Accounting Specialist must develop a working knowledge of all core functions within the department including accounts payable, accounts receivable, trust accounting, billing, and collections and be capable of stepping in to assist or provide coverage in any of these areas when needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience ideally in a law firm or professional services setting/li>
- Solid understanding of accounting principles internal controls /li>
- High proficiency in accounting systems Microsoft Excel familiarity with Aderant comparable systems preferred /li>
