    Description
    Position Summary



    The PC Unit Certified Nursing Aide is responsible for monitoring and promptly reporting any changes in patient status, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and Life Care standards.



    Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements


    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Completion of a State-approved CNA program
    • Currently licensed in the State of practice. Must maintain an active and valid license throughout employment.
    • Preference for at least one (1) year of geriatric nursing experience
    • CPR certification required upon hire or to be obtained during orientation. Must keep CPR certification current while employed.


    Specific Job Requirements


    • Exercise autonomy in decision-making when necessary
    • Familiarity with the regulations, procedures, and guidelines that govern activities in a post-acute care facility
    • Implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, and policies
    • Demonstrate proficiency in areas such as patient rights, safety, and sanitation
    • Foster professional relationships with colleagues, vendors, and others
    • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
    • Adhere to company policies, including those related to harassment and compliance
    • Exhibit integrity and professionalism by following Life Care's Code of Conduct and completing required training


    Essential Functions


    • Assist in lifting, turning, and transporting patients
    • Aid patients with personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, and feeding
    • Accurately record and report patient care information
    • Respond promptly to patient calls for assistance
    • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive patient-centric attitude
    • Support in patient evacuations if needed
    • Ensure regular and reliable attendance
    • Apply sound judgment and critical thinking skills
    • Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team environment
    • Demonstrate physical agility and the ability to perform various movements during shifts
    • Possess proficient language skills in English for communication and documentation purposes
