    Job Description

    Overview: This position is responsible for managing the repairs and maintenance of equipment assigned to the division location as outlined in the company maintenance program. The successful candidate will utilize good judgment to maximize equipment dependability through cost-effective methods.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise daily maintenance activities of division employees, ensuring compliance with Hulcher Standards.
    • Negotiate with vendors, acquire estimates/quotes for repairs, and communicate with Equipment Manager and other operations managers.
    • Inspect work to ensure quality meets or exceeds standards.
    • Supervise cleaning of equipment and oversee maintenance projects.
    • Travel to special projects as required and delegate tasks to division employees.
    • Teach others to perform equipment maintenance and minor repairs, ensuring information flows to managers and the mechanical department in a timely manner.
    • Monitor oil samples and repair orders, manage facility maintenance, and procure materials and supplies.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with local suppliers and equipment dealers.
    • Communicate with Equipment Manager on equipment status and updates.

    Requirements:

    • Educational Requirements: High School graduate.
    • Experience Requirements: Three or more years related mechanical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience (fleet management or mechanical).
    • Knowledge/Skills:
      • Knowledge of repair and maintenance of heavy equipment, tractors, and fleet vehicles.
      • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic malfunctions.
      • Ability to time manage maintenance schedules.
      • Knowledge of vehicle parts ordering procedures.

    Working Conditions:

    • Indoor and external working environments.
    • Some exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, explosives, risk of radiation, and vibration.

    Estimated Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
