    The Global Information Security (GIS) group provides services and solutions to protect the value and use of Disney's information through risk evaluation, collaboration, standardization, enforcement, and education across the enterprise. We protect the brand and reputation while enabling and supporting business objectives. GIS teams are located in Seattle, Burbank, and Orlando.

    In order to ensure that our services keep TWDC secure, we follow an ongoing, iterative process, including continued reevaluation of our services over time to address emerging threats as well as changes in business and technology. This process includes:

    1. Analysis of known and emerging threats to determine risks against TWDC assets

    2. Creation, maintenance, governance and communication of security policies and standards across TWDC

    3. Assessment and audit of compliance against the security policies and standards

    4. Assurance that TWDC assets are effectively managed and monitored to meet TWDC security criteria

    We are looking to add people to our team who are focused on delivery, prioritize data-driven decisions over opinions, are continuous learners, passionate about information security and love their work.

    GIS supports all of Disney's segments which includes Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution (DMED). DMED brings together the Company's best-in-class product, technology, and commercialization teams together into one global organization. DMED is responsible for all distribution, network and engineering operations, sales, advertising, data, and certain key technology functions worldwide for the Company's content engines. DMED also manages operations of the Company's streaming services including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN+, Disney+ Hotstar and Star, the upcoming general entertainment offering; as well as all domestic broadcast and cable television network. Security professionals supporting DMED will be exposed to industry leading technology that provide our guests with world class and highly secured services.

    What You Will Do:
    • Performs security assessments and code audits
    • Develops new automation and tooling to improve our detection & prevention capabilities and increase operational efficiency for repeatable tasks
    • Focuses on a collaboration culture across the Enterprise that drives on the "One GIS" message; mentors junior engineers, and foster a culture of excellence, innovation and continuous improvement
    • Impacts a range of customer, operational, project or service activities within own team and other related teams
    • Contributes to the development of the organization's long-term security strategy, including researching and recommending new technologies and best practices
    • Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions; exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
    • Evangelizes and drive adoption of new or improved tools, practices, and plans to increase product robustness and reliability
    Must Have:
    • Minimum 5+ years of proven experience working in a cybersecurity organization OR have experience in a software engineering role and interested in working on security related projects
    • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Information systems, Software, Electrical, or electronics engineering, or comparable field of study.
    • Good understanding of web and mobile application security and associated processes (knowledge of cloud security is a plus)
    • Experience developing applications (web, mobile, api) and/or scripting (Python, Perl, PowerShell, Yara)
    • Ability to validate findings discovered by tooling
    • Experience with application penetration testing is a plus
    • Strong interpersonal skills and curiosity to learn
    • The ability to collaborate across functions
    Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.

    The hiring range for this remote position is $117,998 to $182,050 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
