Job Summary

The General Manager is a highly skilled and respected individual responsible for overseeing all operations at a hotel property. They provide guidance to the management team and frontline staff while ensuring financial performance, service quality, and regulatory compliance are upheld.

The General Manager leads key initiatives such as sales planning, budget management, and property improvement projects. They are crucial for communication with guests, associates, corporate representatives, and vendors.

At least 6 years of progressive experience in the hotel industry or related field
Proficiency in Windows operating systems, spreadsheets, and word processing
Valid driver's license
Ability to make quick decisions, work well under pressure, and solve problems efficiently
Effective communication and leadership skills
Aptitude for financial analysis and understanding of basic arithmetic

Responsibilities

Interact with guests and employees in a courteous and friendly manner
Maintain high standards of personal appearance
Ensure compliance with hotel standards and regulations
Lead daily meetings focusing on sales efforts
Monitor department operations and financial performance
Conduct staff training and development sessions
Oversee budget processes and financial reviews
Ensure maintenance of property and cleanliness standards
Inspire employee motivation and development
Handle managerial tasks such as interviews, appraisals, and disciplinary actions
