    Description
    The
    Information Technology (IT) Manager/Director installs, purchases, and maintains computer hardware, software, and networks.

    This position is responsible for the development and management of the company's network infrastructure, corporate website and daily activities of IT/technology, fleet and facilities offering training and making recommendations as needed to meet current and future needs of the organization.


    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or in similar field
    • 5-7 years' related experience in IT field
    • Supervisory experience preferred
    • Experience with Project Management (SCRUM, Agile/Kan-Ban, PMP), System Administration (Server+) or Advanced Meter Infrastructure Administration (AMI)
    • CPR/First Aid Certification
    • Knowledge of MS Office Suite
    • Valid Texas Driver License

    Typical Duties

    • Directs the process of developing and implementing the information technology system for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Develops and deploy 5 year technology plan and ensure alignment and consistency with existing plan.
    • Coordinates planning for installing system improvements based on technological developments.
    • Operates systems to support company operations and service in the most efficient manner.
    • Modifies infrastructure as needed to provide maximum support.
    • Ensures system reliability, efficiency and cyber security.
    • Utilizes enterprise resource planning techniques to coordinate multisite information systems.
    • Oversees the network management, including wide area networks, local area networks and remote access capabilities.
    • Develops systems with provisions for continuity of operations during any disaster recovery or other emergency situations.
    • Consults with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
    • Provides users with technical support for computer problems.
    • Resolves customer complaints and answer customers' questions regarding Information Technology management policies and procedures.
    • Supervises the work of office, administrative or customer service employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems.
    • Provides employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
    • Discusses job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and work to resolve problems.
    • Develops and review operating procedures.
    • Performs other duties, tasks and special projects as assigned.
