- Prepares intravenous solutions and admixtures; must be able to identify variations in medication dosage forms, volume and dosing
- Maintains inventory and billing related to medications and related supplies
- Stocks automated dispensing machines and delivers medications throughout VRH and its satellite locations
- Aids in training new employees
- Participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement and CQI activities
- Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
- Complies with rules, regulations and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces
- High School diploma or the equivalent
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred
- One (1) year related pharmacy experience preferred
- High integrity, able to follow procedures
- Ability to be a self-motivated learner
