    Description

    Job Title: Director of Data Architecture

    Looking for a dynamic Director of Data Architecture to join McKesson's (PSaS) Decision Intelligence (DI) team. This leadership position within PSaS's Data Architecture and Engineering service is crucial for developing and executing data architecture strategies that drive business value through data and advanced analytics.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    This role requires a candidate with a strong background in technical leadership and extensive experience in designing data models and products.

    Data Architecture Leadership:

    • Spearheading the strategic development and continuous refinement of data architecture frameworks to ensure robust, scalable, and integrated data environments
    • Using tools to plan, evaluate, and execute strategic initiatives by mapping relational entities to business requirements

    Advanced Data System Design:

    • Architecting complex data systems that support scalable integration of business-critical applications
    • Creating data design deliverables including models, diagrams, flows, and data dictionary documentation

    Innovation in Data Solutions: Drive the adoption of cutting-edge technologies in data architecture and engineering to transform data handling and analytics.

    Technical Team Leadership: Building and mentoring a team of data architects and engineers to foster innovation and technical excellence.

    Stakeholder Collaboration: Establishing strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure data architectures meet business needs.

    Governance and Standards Development: Implementing data governance practices to ensure data integrity and compliance across systems.

    Problem Solving and Strategic Input: Providing strategic solutions for complex data-related problems that contribute to business success.

    Key Requirements:

    Proven Expertise: 12+ years of experience in data architecture with knowledge of modern data frameworks.

    Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead and inspire teams towards innovation.

    Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical skills and the ability to align strategies with long-term objectives.

    Problem Solving: Creative problem-solving skills for handling complex challenges.

    Experience: Demonstrated career growth through contributions to business needs and technical innovations.

    Advanced Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

    Career Level Description: Seeking an individual with recognized expertise in data architecture to contribute significantly within the organization.

    Physical Requirements: General Office Demands

    Our Base Pay Range for this Position: $156,200 - $260,400
