Description
Job Description
The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner works in collaboration with hospital physicians to manage care for patients with stable and chronic illnesses.
Additionally, the Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist plans and coordinates rehabilitation, home health care and follow-up services for patients with acute health issues.
Requirements
Education:
Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program; National certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners or the American Nurses Credentialing Center
Requires a master's degreeExperience:
Previous work experience preferred
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:
Current licensure State of Alabama, CRNP
Equipment/Tools/Work Aids:
Equipment used in the delivery of health care
Specialized Skills:
Strong oral and written communication skills required, as well as leadership and organizational abilities. An individual who is self-directed and who will accept accountability for actions.
Physical Requirements:
Intermittent standing, sitting, reaching and walking. Visual and hearing acuity, occasional assisting of patients in and out of chairs and onto exam tables.
