- Develop global maintenance strategy for Ball manufacturing, prioritizing cost competitiveness and efficiency. Standardize systems across plants to support all activities.
- Link Center of Excellence (COE) to BOE to ensure best-in-class standards are implemented. Provide training materials and expertise for engineering teams.
- Coordinate maintenance planning globally, optimizing resources and purchases cost-effectively. Execute against consolidated plans, including internal and external resource planning.
- Lead Global Wellness Centre, rebuilding prime mover equipment and establishing critical parts inventory for catastrophic breakdowns.
- Manage annual global capital budgets of $150M - $200M. Oversee Wellness Centre P&L, making strategic decisions based on EVA and cost optimization.
- Lead global spare parts reduction strategy, collaborating with Procurement to establish optimum inventory levels and standardize store room design.
- Lead Preventative Maintenance program to ensure compliance with Minimum Maintenance Standards across all plants.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to maximize resource use and improve equipment reliability through Wellness Events and Preventative Maintenance.
- Harmonize regional engineering resources in implementing global standards across safety, sustainability, capital management, and maintenance.
- Develop and communicate standardized asset utilization and equipment maintenance standards for new and existing plants globally as a key member of the global engineering leadership team
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years' experience developing and implementing global maintenance strategies for manufacturing equipment and resources.
- Minimum 7 years of experience of leadership and project management skills to coordinate global maintenance planning cycles, manage capital budgets, and oversee the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience collaborating across regions and functional areas, particularly in integrating Center of Excellence (COE) with Business Operational Excellence (BOE) pillars.
- Knowledge of and experience with modern lean manufacture technique - SMED, Kaizen 5S, Kanban, Structured Problem Solving, TPM/OEE, SPC/6 Sigma etc.
- Knowledge of and experience with manufacturing engineering practices and processes.
- Problem solving / total quality skills.
- Demonstrated planning and project management skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing engineering practices, processes.
- Knowledge of 2 piece can manufacturing preferred, but not required.
- If based in Denver, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for four (4) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). Travel and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
- Hiring Salary Range: $142,000- $242,400 USD. Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
- This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan, with a EVAIC Target of 25%. The long-term incentive target of 20% in consideration of role and aligned market.
