- Serves as medical liaison to coordinate KyPQC quality improvement (QI) initiatives.
- Provides trainings and resources to clinicians.
- Provides technical assistance and clinical expertise to birthing hospital teams implementing Quality Improvement (QI) initiatives.
- Collaborates with community partners and patients to address treatment, recovery, and social determinants of health for individuals with SUD.
- Coordinates the investigation of healthcare protocols and practices.
- Regularly evaluates the KyPQC initiatives.
- Reviews Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) Patient Safety Bundles.
- Assists with the development of tools, resources, protocols, standards of care, etc. that support implementation of QI initiatives.
- Ensures all trainings, tools, resources, etc. disseminated by the KyPQC are focused on respectful and equitable care for all patients
- Experience working in perinatal care settings and/or quality improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative and complete tasks without direct supervision.
- Ability to collaboratively work with a multidisciplinary team on a common goal.
- Ability to convey ideas to others effectively and provide medical expertise, technical assistance, and training to other healthcare providers.
