    CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER -

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Chief Financial Officer oversees the Finance Department, responsible for ensuring that all the activities and functions listed below occur in an efficient and timely manner.

    We are an administrative management company which provides support to all operating entities in our subsidiary group of companies within the social services sector. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position manages all aspects of the companys, and its affiliates finances, including the following subsidiaries:

    • A subsidiary facilitating human service contracts in Minnesota for Case Management, residential program homes, and other individual and family service for developmentally disabled persons.
    • A subsidiary, Incorporated, a 501C nonprofit entity providing and assisting with employment of developmentally disabled persons.
    • Two subsidiaries, which provides oversight and monitoring of Minnesota families that have chosen to provide care and support for a qualifying developmentally disabled family member that resides at home with primary family unit.An annual budget for cost and expenses including in home care employees is awarded to each family. The monies being spent must be tracked and accounted for and measured throughout the year so that a family does not go over allotted budget or conversely expectation is to assist family to utilize the full resources available.
    • A subsidiary, which providing similar functions as mentioned above in over twelve other states outside of Minnesota, with each state having its own operating agreement with rules and procedures unique for each state.
    • Onsite daycare for children of employees and the public.The day care is licensed with its own staff.
    • A Relief Organization, a 501C nonprofit entity providing disaster relief and ongoing support domestic and worldwide.

    Responsibilities

    Drive the companys financial planning, budgeting and reporting.

    Perform risk management by analyzing the organizations liabilities and investments.

    Evaluate and manage the companys cash flow.

    Actively participate in responding to various State RFPs.

    Supervise and manage all finance personnel.

    Manage vendor relationships.Provide support and processing all vendor/payable/disbursement activities for all entities as they occur in all departments and locations, etc.

    Prepare reliable financial reports.

    Oversee payroll administration for company and its affiliates.Provide regular payroll processing for all employees in all entities and all tax remittances, periodic reports interim and annual.

    Provide regular billing to government agencies per contracts in place for each program in each location and state.Monitor AR and collections, etc. and follow up corrections/adjustments that may arise.

    The Chief Financial Officer sees that annual projections / budgets are developed and followed on both a macro and micro basis for all companies.

    The Chief Financial Officer the leads the Finance Department when a new contract proposal opportunity arises, to determine the services to be provided and identification of resources need including, quantification of costs that are expected to be incurred, the services fees to be charged to achieve a reasonable profit margin.

    Set up and oversee the companys finance IT system.

    Ensure compliance with the law and companys policies.

    Requirements and Skills

    Proven experience as CFO preferred.

    In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.

    Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.

    Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).

    Ability to strategize and solve problems.

    Strong leadership and organizational skills.

    Excellent communication and people skills.

    An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers.

    CPA is a strong advantage.

    • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MBA preferred.
