Your Opportunity + ImpactOur Land Development department is looking to add a Civil Designer to the team This Civil Designer position will be responsible for completing intermediate to advanced civil engineering drafting and design tasks, autonomously applying engineering principles and making informed decisions.
Key ResponsibilitiesUses AutoDesk Civil 3D, ArcGIS, and other Civil Engineering-related software programs to develop technically accurate and high-quality deliverables.Aid in development of stormwater management, erosion and sediment control, and construction plans while under the direction of a Professional Engineer.
Ability to analyze design alternatives to develop cost-effective solutions to project challenges.Coordinates the preparation of advanced multi-discipline drawing sets as required for assigned projects, including coordination with technical, administrative, and other design staff.
Promotes, utilizes, and supports quality assurance and quality control processes to improve the quality of deliverables and reduce design errors and omissions.
Researches, reviews, interprets, and understands written design standards, regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements and applies them to design projects.
Assists with design calculations, calculates quantities, reviews technical specifications, and prepares cost estimates.Aids in enhancing the teams overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Education and ExperienceEducation:
Associates or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or other related field
Experience:
Minimum four (4) years experience.
Preferred QualificationsPossess strong independent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
Proficiency in AutoDesk Civil 3D required. Advanced Civil 3D skills preferred.
