    Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates,Summary:Under the direction of the Manager, Physician Liaison this position is responsible for the coordination and implementation of Service Line, Physician, and Norwalk Hospital Laboratory Services sales and referral program in order to achieve volume/revenue goals for Norwalk Hospital, its affiliates, and the lab.

    Participate in the implementation of short and long-term initiatives relating to activities to achieve service line objectives, retention of existing business and development of new business.

    Under the guidance of the Manager, responsible for identifying and reporting issues or concerns related to the medical staff and referring physicians; providing education to physicians regarding new services/programs/physicians; improving communication between providers; and resolving issues.


    Responsibilities:
    1.

    Under the guidance of the Manager, collaborate with Physicians and Service Line management to ensure that goals and objectives are implemented and achieved.

    Promotes the image and service of the organization through sales/marketing functions. Researches potential opportunities and trends and communicates to Manager. May participate with Manager in establishing service directions accordingly.2.

    Under the guidance of the Manager, calls on targeted offices based on prioritization and call planning; conducts pre-call planning for office visits to define objectives, plan discovery questions, anticipate objections and prepare an effective approach; close call with action plan3.

    Personally visits targeted physician offices throughout Fairfield County.

    Meets with Key staff including Office Manager, Nurse Manager, schedulers and physicians as needed to build rapport with offices, address issues and resolve concerns.

    Embraces and demonstrates exceptional customer service skills and philosophy. Serves as an expert for staff and physicians. Utilize NH/Lab personnel (including pathologists) when beneficial.4. Works with Manager, Physician Liaison to analyze referral activity and trends. Collaborates with Manager in reviewing and resolving issues with declining referral sources and identify new potential referral sources. Troubleshoot customer service issues and inform of new services. Coordinate with NH/Lab Management team to correct issues.5.

    May collaborate with Manager, Physician Liaison in developing strategic communication plan relating to targeted physicians, services and programs, including new brochures, website content, and advertising campaign when appropriate.6.

    May assists in developing and distributes appropriate patient and referral source communications, including patient educational materials. Assists with collection, compilation and preparation of presentation and exhibit materials. Staffs exhibit booths as needed.7. Coordinate/implement special projects and functions as requested. Coordinate Lab Physician Office Connectivity Initiative, under which physician offices obtain access to Lab radiological studies via the Internet. Work in conjunction with IT Administrator in this area.8. Assist with Laboratory Services website updates and general maintenance, email blasts to patient database.9. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.10. Performs other duties as assigned.


    Other information:

    Required:
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 1-3 years of external field based sales along with some program/project management experience is required. Experience in Hospital, Healthcare related fields such as Pharma, Diagnostics, Devices, etc is required. Medical setting preferred.


    Minimum Experience:

    three yearsDesired:

    Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving aptitude, and be customer service focused; prior experience interacting with physicians, mid-level providers, and physician office staff preferred.

    Able to work independently and also in a team setting, and able to multi-task. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times. Experience with financial and budgeting process preferred.
