As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll play a pivotal role in building that trust by delivering top-notch service that sets Wegmans apart. You'll ensure customers receive the medical attention, care, and health services they rely on us for, embodying compassion and our shared mission in our fast-paced pharmacies.

    What will be your responsibilities?

    • Process prescription requests while fostering trusted customer relationships and demonstrating patience, empathy, care, and compassion
    • Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and resolve issues to provide the best outcome for customers
    • Follow departmental processes and procedures for entering information, dispensing medication, and verifying details
    • Support smooth departmental operations by assisting with tasks, maintaining suitable inventory levels through ordering, and stocking drugs and supplies
    • Handle products correctly, operate equipment, maintain accurate logs, and adhere to sanitation practices

    Required Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in computer skills
    • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations for accurate data entry and prescription filling
    • State-specific requirements may include Pharmacy Technician certification
    • New Jersey applicants need to be at least 18 years old and hold a High School diploma or equivalent

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in product ordering and inventory management
    • Previous Pharmacy Technician experience
    • Pharmacy Technician Certification

    Note to applicants: In certain states, certification and/or state registration are mandatory for Pharmacy Technicians. In these locations, Wegmans may hire individuals before they obtain the necessary qualifications, supporting them throughout the process. Board Certified Pharmacy Technicians will receive a $0.50/hour shift differential at participating locations.
