    Full-time or part-time positions are available for dog groomers seeking a great work environment.

    Established Grooming Salon (19 years) is hiring an outgoing, talented groomer to join the team.

    You will have the opportunity to earn excellent money with 50% commission plus tips and paid vacation and sick time.

    • 6 dogs per day: $800.00 per week + $225 tips = approximately $53,000.00 per year
    • 7 dogs per day: $950.00 per week + $260 tips = approximately $63,000.00 per year
    • 8 dogs per day: $1140.00 per week + $300 tips = approximately $75,000.00 per year
    • 9 dogs per day: $1250.00 per week + $335 tips = approximately $82,500.00 per year

    This income estimate is based on actual earnings at Smelly Dog.

    DUTIES:

    • Perform grooming tasks to an excellent standard
    • Meet with clients, discuss breed-specific cuts or specialty services, and provide personalized recommendations
    • Keep your workspace clean and organized
    • Utilize company technology to send digital report cards and appointment reminders
    • Confirm client appointments using automated text reminders
    • Ensure every animal has a comfortable and enjoyable grooming experience
    • Maintain grooming equipment in good condition
    • Be honest when mistakes occur and maintain professionalism with coworkers and clients

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Previous experience as a professional dog groomer in a salon setting (if you're not a trained groomer, please do not apply)
    • Enthusiasm for working with pets
    • Respect for animals, coworkers, and clients
    • Able to work effectively in a team environment
    • Excellent communication skills with staff and clientele
    • Reliable and punctual
    • Must have personal grooming equipment in good working condition

    Requirements to Work at Smelly Dog:

    • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
    • Must be able to see correctly (corrective lenses are acceptable)
    • Must be able to walk dogs
    • Must be able to stand for eight hours a day (with breaks provided)
    • Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
    • Must be able to physically hold and restrain dogs safely
    • Must NOT be allergic to dogs or common cleaning agents
