    Sales Manager Opportunity at The Hanover in North Carolina

    Full-time Exempt Position

    POSITION OVERVIEW:

    The Small Commercial Sales Manager is primarily responsible for driving small commercial business growth.

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
    • Work with Account Managers to produce small commercial lines new business and drive flow.
    • Collaborate with small commercial lines underwriting team to develop the targeted mix of business.
    • Demonstrate effective communication skills to provide value and deliver services.
    • Utilize strong negotiation techniques to promote mutual goals.
    • Show a strong desire to succeed and take calculated risks to achieve objectives.
    • Build relationships through sales and marketing techniques.
    • Influence producers/agents to sell desired products and services.
    • Apply fundamental underwriting concepts and practices effectively.
    WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:
    • Bachelor's Degree
    • 3-5 years' Commercial Lines Underwriting and/or Marketing experience preferably with an established carrier.
    • Demonstrated sales and marketing skills with a proven track record of developing new business.
    • Professional designation such as CPCU, CIC, etc., is a plus.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn internal Customer & Agency Account Management systems.
    This role involves various job duties beyond those mentioned here, emphasizing essential functions.
